Shipping Policy

At Southern Tractor, we work to get your parts shipped as quickly and efficiently as possible. Please review the information below regarding order processing, shipping, freight deliveries, and damaged shipments.

Order Processing & Shipping

Most in-stock parts ship from our warehouse in Davenport, Florida, the same business day when the order is placed before 2:00 PM Eastern Time. Orders placed after 2:00 PM Eastern Time will typically ship the next business day.

Shipping and delivery times may vary depending on product availability, order size, destination, carrier schedules, and other circumstances outside of our control.

Please make sure your shipping address is complete and accurate before placing your order. Southern Tractor does not ship to P.O. boxes. A valid physical delivery address is required.

Shipping Charges

Shipping charges are calculated and displayed during checkout.

Southern Tractor utilizes carriers with which we have negotiated volume shipping discounts whenever possible, allowing us to pass competitive shipping rates along to our customers.

Additional carrier charges resulting from an incorrect or incomplete shipping address, address correction, redelivery, or other customer-requested delivery services may be the responsibility of the customer.

LTL Freight Shipments

Large or heavy parts that cannot be shipped by standard parcel service may be shipped by LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) freight.

When applicable, a lift gate delivery option will be available for an additional charge. Lift gate service may be necessary when the delivery location does not have a loading dock or equipment capable of safely unloading the shipment.

The customer is responsible for being available to receive the shipment and for making the necessary arrangements with the freight carrier. If lift gate service is requested or required, someone must be present at the delivery location to receive the shipment.

Once a shipment reaches the destination terminal, the customer must accept delivery within the time allowed by the freight carrier. If delivery cannot be completed because the customer is unavailable, out of town, refuses or delays delivery, or otherwise cannot accept the shipment, the carrier may assess storage, redelivery, or other additional fees. Any such charges assessed to Southern Tractor as a result of the customer’s inability or failure to accept delivery will be the responsibility of the customer and will be passed on to the customer.

Additional carrier charges resulting from an incorrect or incomplete shipping address, address correction, residential delivery, limited-access locations, redelivery, storage, or other customer-requested or customer-caused delivery services will also be the responsibility of the customer.

Damaged Shipments & Shortages

Please inspect all shipments carefully before accepting delivery.

For LTL freight shipments, the customer should inspect the shipment for visible damage, missing items, or shortages before signing the carrier’s bill of lading or delivery receipt.

If damage or a shortage is discovered at the time of delivery, it must be clearly noted on the bill of lading or delivery receipt before it is signed. The carrier’s driver should also acknowledge the noted damage or shortage. The customer should retain a copy of the signed delivery documentation.

Signing a delivery receipt without noting visible damage or shortages may indicate to the carrier that the shipment was received in good condition and may affect the ability to file a freight claim.

If damage is discovered after delivery, retain the part, shipping carton, packaging materials, pallet, and any other materials associated with the shipment. Do not discard packaging until the issue has been resolved or the carrier has completed any required inspection.

Please take photographs of the damaged part, packaging, and shipping container whenever possible and contact Southern Tractor promptly so we can assist with the issue.

Concealed Damage, Shortages & Incorrect Parts

Concealed shipping damage, shortages, or incorrect parts received must be reported to Southern Tractor within 7 days of the invoice date.

Please retain all cartons, packaging materials, labels, pallets, and related shipping documentation until the issue has been resolved and any required carrier inspection has been completed.

Claims reported more than 7 days after the invoice date may not be accepted.
